If the power should be gone, your central point for powering the telephones is primarily the PoE switch.
And this is how it works:
Attach the PoE switch to the UPS box and the electricity flows. The switchover time from the mains to the UPS takes place without interruption. The UPS should be dimensioned to supply the performance of the office server, switches, firewall, and Internet router for at least 15 minutes. The typical output for an eight-port (one phone per port) PoE switch is around 130-160 watts.
An emergency supply of the internet line
Your internet line, i.e., the modem/router, must also have an emergency power supply to be able to continue making calls with VoIP. When that is also done, you have good prerequisites to survive a power failure in your telephone customer communication without being noticed!
