The dealers, manufacturers, or suppliers of telecommunication equipment have to pay a fee of five hundred United Arab Emirati dirhams, in lieu of registration and processing fee. The fee should be paid in advance, and it is non-refundable. The fee submission is irrespective of the outcome of approval or rejection of equipment.

  • Certificate Issuing Fee

If the application for registration of telecommunication equipment of the dealers, manufacturers, or suppliers is approved, the certificate will be issued in due time. The concerned party has to pay the certificate issuing fee of five thousand Emirati dirhams after the approval of the registration process. Moreover, the certification will be valid for the next five years.

  • Certificate Modification Fee

If the manufacturers or dealers make modifications in the information of the registration certificate, they must pay an additional non-refundable fee of a hundred emirate dirhams. This fee amount should be paid upon submission. It will not change the outcome of the application that is approval or rejection.

  • Certificate Renewing Fee

The dealers, manufacturers, and suppliers of the telecommunication equipment have to pay the certificate renewing fee to the authorities. They are liable to submit the request of certificate renewal one month before the expiration date to fifteen days of the expiration date. The fee of five thousand and one hundred Emirati dirhams should be paid upon submission.

  • Certificate Cancellation Fee

If the concerned parties request the cancellation of the registration certificate, they do not need to pay any additional fees. However, the remaining amount of the registration fee will not be paid back to the concerned parties.

Fee for Type Approval of Telecommunication Equipment

The concerned parties have to pay the fee for type approval of telecommunication equipment to the state authorities under the following subcategories:

  • Submission and Processing Fee

The concerned parties need to pay the fee in lieu of submission and processing of the type approval. The fee amount is five hundred Emirati dirhams, which should be paid in advance. Moreover, this amount is non-refundable and does not impact the decision of approval or rejection of the application.

  • Certification Fee

The applicants need to pay the certificate issuance fee if the application is approved. The fee will be two hundred Emirati dirhams, which should be paid once every three years.

  • Certificate Renewal Fee

The applicants need to file the application for renewal of the certificate in the time period of one month prior to expiration or fifteen days after it. The fee amount of hundred Emirati dirhams should be paid in advance.

  • Certificate Cancellation Fee

In case the applicant file for certificate cancellation, they do not need to pay any extra fee in this regard. However, the remaining fee from the certificate issuance will not be returned to the applicant.

Fee for Testing of Telecommunication Equipment

The applicants need to pay a fee for testing the telecommunication equipment. This is applicable according to the technical description of the equipment. The following are some of the most common subcategories.
